On Sunday 25th. November we were entertained by Pauline Penna who not only gave an interesting presentation to 25 members and friends about fungi but also led an enjoyable walk around parts of the Trelusback conservation area.
Pauline was able to identify many different species of fungi found by an enthusiastic group and luckily the weather was excellent bearing in mind it was late November. The warmer weather before the recent cold spell would have been even better because this time the fungi were restricted mainly to the more sheltered areas. In those areas we were however still able to see large numbers of fungi. One of the species of fungi has been identified by Pauline as Typhula Incarnata. It is the first recorded in Cornwall and our thanks to Paul Gainey for the photos.
