Field trip to Cabilla and Redrice woods on Sunday 10th July 2022 Seven members attended in superb weather conditions from 1000 to 1400. We recorded 40+ Silver-washed Fritillaries(mostly males),2 Speckled Wood,4 Green-veined White,3 Red Admiral,50+ Meadow Brown,50+ Ringlet,1 Purple Hairstreak,10 Small Skipper,2 Large White,1 Large Skipper,1 Brimstone, Orange and Buff-tip moths, 6 Golden-ringed dragonfly,1 Four-spot Chaser and 1 male Broad-bodied Chaser. De Lank Fieldtrip: 12 members of CBMS attended from 1100 to 1500. At the beginning it was cool and misty but after midday the mist lifted to give a warm, sunny afternoon. The Pearl-bordered Fritillary colony continues to prosper and we recorded the following - 50+ Pearl-bordered Fritillary, 1 Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary, 5 Brimstone, 8 Orange Tip, 1 Small Tortoiseshell, 8 Peacock, 8 Speckled Wood, 1 Holly Blue, 5 Small Copper, 1 Wall, 1 Large White, 1 Green-veined White, 10 Bee-Fly, 1 Speckled Yellow, 5 Brown Silver-line, 3 Large Red Damselfly, 1 Beautiful Demoiselle and several Adders-tongue Fern - Dave Conway
